Lake Wales, our home away from home

Finally arrived and all set up.   Got our Motorhome all washed and waxed including our car.  Just after we arrived we had the super moon.  Took a picture from our motorhome. 

They have a place here called J & J Sunshades and they made us sunshades for the side and end of our awning.  Wow what a difference, it repels rain so I don't have to fold up the chairs when it rains and it mades it cooler as the sun rays doesn't make it so hot when you sit out!!  Love love it!!  Here are some day shots and night shots.

Here is the avocado we bought for 99 cents!!  It is next to our large knife!  Gary made us a fresh salad and put half of it in.  Yummy! 

 

 

This week we took Joan and Bob Lepoudre with us to go shopping at Sam's Club, we stopped in to see Gerry and Amy and Tammy .  What a beautiful job!  We all had a great time!  Thank you Amy, you are amazing and a gracious host!   We so enjoyed ourselves!! 

 

Now going on our 7th year

Begin our journey on Nov 3 this year, when we went thru Kedgwick, in front of the mill, it was muddy from the tractor trailers going thru as they had had a bit of snow the day before and you can see the car when we arrived in Bangor.  Can't even tell the color.  Too funny.

It was nice to see that the trees still had their colors.   When we left home, the trees were bare!

Gary made us a console between  our chairs out of oak and I just love it.  He made the slots to fit our coffee mugs Wendy got us when we started our travels.  They go everywhere with us.  Our maps are underneath and he put a bag for our garbage.  Sweet!!

Hey Wendy, your favourite place, "South of the Border"!!  Too funny!!  The place gets bigger and bigger.  So Funny as you are going thru North Carolina they advertise all the time!  My favourite was  "You Never Sausage such a place(with a picture of big sausage) and Pedro says you are always a weiner(pic of weiner) with me"  Haha!

Day 3 and we are now wearing shorts and I have my flip flips on and the sun is shining.   Ahhhhhhh!!!  Yes!!

We are on the home stretch and we are on 75 heading to Tampa and then 60 to Lake Wales.  This is a beautiful sunset to welcome us to Florida.   Life is good!!  Looking forward to our 6 months enjoying the sunshine!!  I am very blessed!!
