Christmas celebrations

 

Gary and I surprised each other with our Christmas gifts.  He got me earrings and heart shape pendant  with "Love you to the moon and back "😍 And I got him a BBQ.  Yeah!

 

 

 

 

We hosted Champagne Breakfast Christmas morning with Samosas, Egg Casserole, Smoked Salmon, Biscuits with Joan & Bob Lepoudre, Joe & Jane Lewis on the patio..Balmy 70F 20C.  Great time with good friends.  Life is good!!!!!!!!

 

 

After Breakfast we headed to Amy and Gerry's for Christmas Dinner.  As always, Amy put on a great dinner with roasted potatoes, cauliflower casserole , BBQ Ribs and BBQ Steaks followed by homemade sweets.  Great time with family(Gerry, Amy, Mike & Donna, Ashley , Tammy & Troy)  Miss my children but so happy to skype and facetime  with them

 

 

American Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas!

We got to enjoy Thanksgiving with Amy and Gerry.  Amy is such a great host and awesome cook and what a meal she put on for us.   We got to enjoy it with Gerry, Amy, Ashley, Tammy, Troy, Mike and Donna.  Love that we get to celebrate 2 Thanksgiving, one in Canada and one here.  So much to be thankful for.

 

Gary made me steps to get into the motorhome.  Just love them.  Here is a pic of the new steps and the motorhome all nice and shiny!!

 

Got my Palm tree all decorated for Christmas and all the lights are up.  Gary picked up multi color spot light here and it looks like the motorhome is all lit up.  Below is the pictures

Also here is a picture of Joan and Bob Christmas tree outside.  So pretty!

Last night we had our happy hour and had a toast to celebrate Marilyn's birthday.  We had Mary, Leverne, Bob and Joan.  Great time was had by all. 

Lake Wales, our home away from home

Finally arrived and all set up.   Got our Motorhome all washed and waxed including our car.  Just after we arrived we had the super moon.  Took a picture from our motorhome. 

They have a place here called J & J Sunshades and they made us sunshades for the side and end of our awning.  Wow what a difference, it repels rain so I don't have to fold up the chairs when it rains and it mades it cooler as the sun rays doesn't make it so hot when you sit out!!  Love love it!!  Here are some day shots and night shots.

Here is the avocado we bought for 99 cents!!  It is next to our large knife!  Gary made us a fresh salad and put half of it in.  Yummy! 

 

 

This week we took Joan and Bob Lepoudre with us to go shopping at Sam's Club, we stopped in to see Gerry and Amy and Tammy .  What a beautiful job!  We all had a great time!  Thank you Amy, you are amazing and a gracious host!   We so enjoyed ourselves!! 

 

Now going on our 7th year

Begin our journey on Nov 3 this year, when we went thru Kedgwick, in front of the mill, it was muddy from the tractor trailers going thru as they had had a bit of snow the day before and you can see the car when we arrived in Bangor.  Can't even tell the color.  Too funny.

It was nice to see that the trees still had their colors.   When we left home, the trees were bare!

Gary made us a console between  our chairs out of oak and I just love it.  He made the slots to fit our coffee mugs Wendy got us when we started our travels.  They go everywhere with us.  Our maps are underneath and he put a bag for our garbage.  Sweet!!

Hey Wendy, your favourite place, "South of the Border"!!  Too funny!!  The place gets bigger and bigger.  So Funny as you are going thru North Carolina they advertise all the time!  My favourite was  "You Never Sausage such a place(with a picture of big sausage) and Pedro says you are always a weiner(pic of weiner) with me"  Haha!

Day 3 and we are now wearing shorts and I have my flip flips on and the sun is shining.   Ahhhhhhh!!!  Yes!!

We are on the home stretch and we are on 75 heading to Tampa and then 60 to Lake Wales.  This is a beautiful sunset to welcome us to Florida.   Life is good!!  Looking forward to our 6 months enjoying the sunshine!!  I am very blessed!!

5 Months went by way too quickly!! Sigh!!!

Our time is finally up in Florida and after 4 days on the road our journey has ended at home until this fall!!  Already looking forward to returning!!

This month has flown quite quickly with our Lake Wales group, we celebrated St Patty's day at Sunday's Pub in Davenport!!

The Irish Murphy!!  and of course we were all in green in honor.  Gary added the Irish Tie!!!  Love it!!

Thanks to Sooky and Selena for the awesome dinner with Gerry and Amy!   Great time and Great food!  Appreciate it so much!!

Our Happy Hour Ladies!!  Going to miss them!!  Can't wait until next year!! 

Every year I look forward on the journey home to seeing the dogwood all in bloom!!  Such beautiful colors!!  I am so grateful for the wonderful friends I have made at the park.  To Nick and Helen, the owners of Lake Wales Campground, thank you for making us feel like family!! You are very special people!!  Best campground I have ever been too!! My home away from home! Can't wait to return!  To Joan, Roberta, Cheryl and Janet, my best buddies,  I cannot believe that we have only known each other for only a year.  I love the quote that says "Have you ever met someone for the first time and feel like you have known them for a lifetime!"  I am looking forward for this fall to return!!

Visiting with Jocelyn and Barry on Feb 28.

Was invited for Dinner with Barry and Jocelyn Scallion and their friend Rob in their park model in Caribbean Isle Park in Apollo Beach.  Beautiful site and well maintained.  Love it!!  Thanks so much for an awesome meal and great company!

The lots here are a great size and they take out a lot of the older models and put in new ones and look at the sizes!!  Wow

This is Barry and Jocelyn.  The lanai is on the left size and they added an extra room on the right.  The window is in the kitchen. Love it!!

Barry took us around the park.  This was taken on the bridge to St Thomas Island.  A lot of the park models are on the water with the boat slips!! Beautiful sunset!!
