Merry Christmas from Lake Wales

My Florida Christmas Tree!!  Love it and I get to use it all year long.   Gotta love that!!  It is hard to believe a year has gone by.  I have so much to be thankful for this past year.  My great grandson, Axel was born on 20 April.  I got to go visit with Wendy and family in Costa Rica.  Great time!  Took Sophie with us to visit Dallas, Gretchen and Ben in August.  Got to meet my great grandson, Axel when Jenna came to visit.  It was great spending time with them.  Got to take the 5 generation picture with my Mum.  Awaiting the photos Amy took.  Awesome time!  To my family, I love you all so very much and this quote I found says it all, "Your family is priceless, ".  To my friends, I can't imagine life without you in it.   Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the bottom of our Heart!!  From Gary and I to you and your family!

Thanksgiving with family and friends

Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks and I am truly thankful for my 3 beautiful children, Tracey, Wendy and Dallas and my 6 Grandchildren, Jenna, Bryanna, Ryan, Sophie, Xavier and Ben and my 2 great grandchildren, Alexis and Axel.  Also, my family and good friends.  We are truly blessed!  Thanks to Amy and Gerry for a lovely meal!  So great spending time with family and friends !

It was nice getting together with Gerry and Amy.  Mike and Donna dropped in and got to have dessert with us.

Got to use my dining table for the first time with Gerry and Amy last week!!  Just forgot to get our pictures with us in it as we were too busy enjoying!!  Haha!!

Today I put up some of my Christmas decorations.  I got the stained glass nativity scene at a second hand store.   So pretty.  Next week I will decorate my palm tree!!

We got to celebrate my brother, Gerry's birthday!  Our Halloween Bum!!  Hahaha!!  Of course, my camera would give me a hard time so don't have a lot of pics but as always had a great time with Amy, Gerry and family!!

Love the work my husband did on the motorhome!! He put in long hours this summer to make it happen. Very impressive!!!   Here are the before and after pictures!!!

At Last!! Lake Wales!! We have arrived for the winter!! At Last!!

On our way to Campbellton on Oct 18 and drove thru this snow squall!!  Tell me if we were not ready to head to Florida!!!

 

 

 

 

 

Yes that is snow and we upped our date to travel on 21 Oct

 

We ran into a bit of rain snow mix just before Bangor but other than that our trip went very well.  As you can see most of the trees were still in fall colors

Such a pretty sunset as we were travelling thru North Carolina yesterday.

Citrus Tower in Clermont!  So Happy to be here.  Just parked the motorhome.  Tomorrow we will set up!!  We made good time, we left on Wednesday and arrived on Saturday.  Cost us $502.25 for gas to come down.   Awesome!!  Gas much cheaper.  Best price was $1.85 gallon.

 Our journey home was excellent.  We did it in 3 days with rest stops along the way.  Weather was excellent on the way home.  So nice to see most of the snow gone before we got home.   Forgot about the dogwood in bloom on the way home.  So beautiful.  Had to get a couple of pictures!!!!

 

Final thoughts as our journey ends for this winter.  It has been a great time and made so many friends.   Our Happy Hour group got together for the final night together...We look forward to next season!!!

Here is the picture of our group of 10 but next year we will be missing Bob and Joan but hopefully they will join us again.   You will be missed!!

Our time has come to an end and we begin our journey home!!

Can't believe we have been here 5 1/2 months...Wow!!!  I feel like I have been here forever.   We can't wait to return!!  Love Lake Wales Campground and have made some amazing friends!!

The owners, Nick and Helen Stone have made us feel so welcome.  They are very special people.   I still can't believe they lived not far from my Mum's home in England.   Small small world!!!  See you in November!!
