Hard to believe it has been 3 weeks here visiting with my brother, Gerald and Amy.  Time does go by quickly and it has been a great time.  Had lunch with Janet Perkins.  She is looking great.   Tonight we head to Ft Myers to go to the Do Wop.  Can't wait.

Relive the good times on Friday March 8, 2013 at 8 PM   with an all-star line-up of Doo Wop and Rock & Roll legends, including Gene Chandler (“Duke Of Earl”, “Nothing Can Stop Me” “Groovy Situation”).  As Bob Costa said at the 2012 Olympics, England isn’t the only country who has their Duke of Earl, we in America have our own.  Chandler, who wrote the lyrics to the Grammy Hall of Fame winner “Duke Of Earl”, still performs with his top hat and cape.  Kenny Vance and The Planotones ( “Cara Mia”, Looking For An Echo”  “Come A Little Bit Closer”, ”Only In America” )  Vance co-founder of Jay and The Americans,  has been a music director for Saturday Night Live, and appeared in several Woody Allen movies. Tommy Mara and The Crests    ("Sixteen Candles", “Step By Step”, “The Angels Listened In” ). Mara, who sings from his heart, was dubbed by Johnny Maestro as the Pavarotti of Doo Wop

On Sunday we head to Orlando as we are flying out on Monday Mar 11 to visit Wendy in Costa Rica.    Will be posting more pics....

Wine Tasting

Bottle rack and oak barrels
Have you ever and I repeat ever been to a wine tour that had wine tasting for free!!!!!  Well, folks I did today and got to sample 5 wines and 1 port and 1 sherry.  Awesome!!! The tour was great and I have pictures.  We purchased  Rosa(blush wine), cream sherry and a port.  Have to say these were great.   My Gram Lewis(England) loved her sherry and she would of loved this one!! My thoughts were of her tasting this. I remember going to visit her with I was 19 and she had one she absolutely love but it was more expensive so she only bought it on special occasions and I bought it for her.   I sent her money every year after that until she passed away in 81...Make sure I put extra in so she could buy a bottle of her favorite sherry.  She was one special Lady and I know who my Mum takes after!!!  Very special Day!!!  Love you and miss you....Gram
