Yesterday we spent a quiet Easter Sunday.  It was a beautiful day and we had wine and cheese with our RV neighbor, Dave and Yolande Dolemont who are from Moncton NB.   Great time but we had to scramble to our trailers as it started to rain and boys did it come down quick and fast.   Wow!!

Today we drove to New Orleans along highway 90.  Words cannot explain the results of Hurricane Katrina that you see along the shore.....The houses and businesses along the shore that were destroyed is mind boggling!!  I understand the old mansions were beautiful.  Now just empty lots for sale!!

We are staying at the Clarion Inn and Suites on Canal Street in New Orleans.  We have a king suite...Wow!!  Living room and separate king bedroom.   We walked canal street to Decatur in French Quarter then up Conte to Bourbon Street.   We stopped at Cafe Beignet for coffee, sandwich and their famous Beignet.....Wow!!!  Hot and very yummy.  Live Jazz Music with the famous statues of Jazz musicians.  Glad I was walking....Walked about 2 miles today.   Love the French Quarter......Great Day today....Now just relaxing at the hotel.  We are on the 14th floor and what a view of Canal Street and French Quarter.  We are 4 blocks to Bourbon Street...
